NEW INFORMATION ABOUT BATS FOR 2022 SEASON:

First off, if your player played at LSRL last season their bat can still be used in games. Even though it may not have the new USA stamp on it, but as long as they are still just 2 1/4" barrel size (our limit in the past) they are "grandfathered" eligible regardless of stamp at LSRL.

If your player gets a new bat or wants to use a "big Barrel bat":

Now, starting this season (2020), we are going to be following the official Little League bat requirements for newer purchases. They have been working with bat manufacturers to create larger barrel sizes, lighter bat weights but hit a baseball with the power of a wood bat. Mostly as a safety precaution for line drives at pitchers.

When shopping online or at a store you will see two types of sanctions for bats usually. LSRL and Little League will be using USA stamped bats. They will have the logo shown in the photo on the bat above the handle. Also, we will be allowing the larger up to 2 5/8" barrel size.

For tee-ball, the bats must still say "Tee-ball" to be eligible.

*** The other stamp, USSSA commonly referred to as "U-Trip", is primarily used to distinguish travel ball level bats. These are not Little League or LSRL acceptable because of their higher speeds the ball rebounds off them when hit. ****

So to summarize:

* Previous LSRL bats are still usable

* "Big Barrel Bats", up to 2 5/8" sized are acceptable.

* The larger barrel bats must have the USA stamp (not the USSSA one).
